Open HomeLantern in ClaudeHomeLantern is listed as a Community connector in Claude. Community connectors undergo automated reviews but are not verified by Anthropic. Availability depends on your Claude plan, workspace controls, installed capabilities and HomeLantern permissions. Team or Enterprise users may need an owner to enable it. Set up on Claude web or desktop if mobile setup is unavailable.

Connect in four steps

Step 1
Prepare your HomeLantern account
Sign in to HomeLantern. Finish required email verification and account approval before connecting.
Step 2
Open the HomeLantern connector
The new tab opens HomeLantern's connector page. Select Connect (or your workspace's equivalent). If already connected, review your tool permissions instead.
Step 3
Connect with your account
Sign in to HomeLantern when prompted and review the requested access. Do not paste API keys or disable sign-in. Ask your workspace owner if the connector is unavailable.
Step 4
Enable it in a conversation
In a new Claude chat, use + > Connectors to enable HomeLantern. Ask: Who am I in HomeLantern, and what access do I have? Then try a read-only question for your role.

This connection does not make payments, link banks, sign leases, accept legal terms, change admin access, publish public profiles or send standalone human messages. Supported task and maintenance changes require explicit confirmation. Financial answers reflect recorded data, not independently verified bank balances.
Questions before you connect
Is HomeLantern verified by Anthropic?
The linked listing labels HomeLantern a Community connector. Claude states that Community connectors undergo automated reviews but are not verified by Anthropic. Review the developer, tools and requested permissions before connecting.
What if the listing is unavailable?
First check your Claude workspace access. If your workspace permits custom connectors, open Customize > Connectors > Add > Custom > Web (older layouts: Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector), name it HomeLantern and use the MCP URL in this guide. Keep detected OAuth sign-in enabled. Manual setup does not bypass account approval or workspace restrictions; available tools may differ from the directory version.
Why can I not add the connector?
Claude plan limits and workspace controls may restrict custom connectors. An organization owner may need to enable it. If authentication fails, check HomeLantern email verification and account approval, then reconnect from Claude's connector settings.
Does HomeLantern require an API key in Claude?
No. Use the detected OAuth sign-in flow with your own HomeLantern account. Do not share credentials, paste service tokens or disable sign-in.
Can Claude pay rent or sign a lease?
No. Payments, bank linking and lease signing stay in the HomeLantern app. Financial summaries describe recorded data, not independent bank-settlement evidence.
Which records can Claude access?
Only records allowed by the connected HomeLantern account's roles and relationships. A connector name does not change your persona or grant access to another person's records.
How do I disconnect?
Open Claude's connector settings and disconnect HomeLantern. Review available connection controls in HomeLantern too. Disconnecting does not delete existing conversations that already contain returned information.
