Records and legal advice are different services
HomeLantern helps organize property workflows, conversations, and documents. It does not provide attorney representation, determine legal rights, or replace qualified legal advice. A generated summary or workflow template should not be treated as a lawyer's conclusion.
This article explains a product boundary, not advice about a particular dispute or jurisdiction. Applicable requirements depend on circumstances that a public guide cannot establish.
Where the product can help
A documentation system can make the accessible report, responses, shared files, and dates easier to review. A conversation export creates a local snapshot that you can inspect before sharing with a professional.
The snapshot is not a certified chain of custody or a guarantee of admissibility. It does not prove every historical action, recreate deleted records, or automatically include invoices stored outside that conversation.
An illustrative consultation
A property team wants advice about an unresolved repair. They can prepare a factual timeline and collect the relevant accessible documents. A qualified professional then evaluates the facts and applicable obligations independently.
Do not alter records to fit a preferred narrative. Separate observations, third-party statements, and AI suggestions. Preserve your original files when you have them and follow the professional's instructions about what they need.
Keep consequential steps in context
Leases and other agreements require their own authenticated workflows and appropriate authorization. An AI message does not sign on someone's behalf or establish that a notice met a legal requirement.
See compliance-first design for the distinction between workflow controls and legal conclusions. Neutral coordination explains why a shared conversation is not dispute adjudication. For a product error rather than legal advice, use customer support.
